The Great Amazon Mystery

So I told you two days ago about my one star review from Amazon and how the person said my writing was excellent, but personally didn't like first person and thus found it unreadable.

Well, that review has mysteriously disapeared.

Where did it go? I have no idea. Did the reviewer have a change of heart? (If so, thank you reviewer, thank you, thank you, thank you!) Did someone click "Report This" and "Unhelpful" and Amazon agreed and took it down? Even though it was a strange review, I've read much more biting things that aren't removed, so I can't imagine this is the case. But if not, then what?

Oh well, I'm not trying to look the gift horse in the mouth, believe me. Whatever the reason, I'm just glad it's gone. Still, this whole Amazon phenomenon is very interesting...

I saw that review. It was weird...and rude! I was at a SCBWI conference last weekend and a few of the panelists had this thing against first person. I happen to love first person and have a few (unpublished) stories that told themselves to me that way. Anyway, glad the mystery review is gone.
